“ go with the flow” they say
“ let it flow” they say
“ what flows, goes” they say
If anyone knows how to actually work with what is present, to go with the flow that is presenting, is the energy of Taurus. Now, I will say it can get stuck in its own way, stubborn about change or transformation or a bump in the road…buuuut with this New Moon in Taurus we have some help in ushering in the change, the shift into now for now’s sake.
Uranus the planet of electrification, disruption, freedom, innovation, and originality is conjunct (right next to) this New Moon, and Uranus is still conjunct Jupiter. Anything Jupiter interacts with it expands with joy, giving this New Moon a playful and potent advantage for the composting and creation of divine desire, the most authentic expression of Self.
We have not had this conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus since 2011, and not in Taurus since 1941, I might jus take a moment to ponder the world events then, and now…just interesting. Change and transformation.
Jupiter loves to embellish, to add glitter and gloss to anything it would like to interact with, and mostly just so it has a mesmerizing story to share later, to expand more into its joyful expanse. But this conjunction in Taurus is the last opportunity we have to ground our creative expression, to build our abundant foundation, before Jupiter heads for Gemini at the end of the month. This brings this creation to the world, through conversation, options, thought sharing and the charming invitation to opinion given by Jupiter in Gemini.
But before we buzz into the atmosphere, what is here that is taking shape? What is sprouting and becoming physical, above ground?
This New Moon is also supported by Venus in Taurus, its domicile or home energy. Creating a delicious and divine space for creation of a pure desire.
Which in my mind, and sensing self, comes through as supportive and nurturing, because Uranus is here to ask us to answer the phone of our highest calling. To plant the seeds now, in the fecund and glorious time of revolution, change and transformation, this New Moon asks : who do you want to be, authentically and without shame?
This being will change the world, Taurus says choose wisely and make this choice from a place of digested knowing. Your knowing.
Venus in Taurus says, answer to your true nature through creative expression. Art, gardening, theater, dance, floral arrangement, cooking for others, crafting with intention.
Creating from being at home in your body. What is at the forefront of your life, then?
Uranus asks, what conversation do you need to have with your body regrading comforts that are no longer serving you? Over the past month (idk if maybe April felt like many months to anyone else?!) or so we have been combing the depths of our psyche, looking into the shadows to bring light and look even deeper.
This New Moon feels like a delicious feast of all your fav foods after the longest day of your life. It is a lovely invitation to let the Earth soak up what you need to release, so you can relax into the true nature of your body and its needs. Take this pause, lie in the sun and feel the power, plant your seeds.
Here is a little Mary that I love and felt very fitting for the New Moon…what can you find in your forest? What can you vanish?
Sleeping in the Forest
By: Mary Oliver
“I thought the earth
remembered me, she
took me back so tenderly, arranging
her dark skirts, her pockets
full of lichens and seeds. I slept
as never before, a stone
on the riverbed, nothing
between me and the white fire of the stars
but my thoughts, and they floated
light as moths among the branches
of the perfect trees. All night
I heard the small kingdoms breathing
around me, the insects, and the birds
who do their work in the darkness. All night
I rose and fell, as if in water, grappling
with a luminous doom. By morning
I had vanished at least a dozen times
into something better.”
Happy New Moon freaks! Love you, appreciate you being here with me.
Much love, Lo
