This Leo Full Moon, the first of 2024, enters the room and gracefully makes it way to the back of the class to join Pluto, sitting there, sunglasses on, cool as a cucumber. The room is humming with a vibration of change, expansion and growth for the greater good. But theres a sense of mastery and skill lingering in the air, the tools needed to sustainably grow and change and build from experience, but the Moon has something else to say!
When in Leo, the Moon is looking to shed layers of societal pressures to bring forth the most heart centered version of Self. Leo is asking you to take that courageous, big juicy heart you carry inside and to openly wear it on both sleeves, for all to see, igniting the fire in others hearts to come forward as well. This is the highest octave of Leo energy, pure authentic love.
The lingering sense of needing a skill, or to be good enough to do something, act on something or speak something into form, is from Mars, Mercury and Venus all in Capricorn and square to the Nodes of the Moon. Creating tension around how we see ourselves in our our mastery of skill, craft, practice, talent, self, community and life. So if you are at a loss for words today, and over the next few days, MOVE IT AROUND.

This trio (Mars, Venus and Mercury) in Capricorn is given some electrification, and for Capricorn, a little shake up with their trine aspect to Uranus in Taurus, which is the change maker. Uranus is the planet of disruption, technology, electricity, but also rules freedom, change and revolution. It rules Aquarius, which is where the Sun and Pluto currently sit, hand in hand. So this theme is huge with this Full Moon:
What is the internal revolution of Self that I can support in order to let me freely communicate my deepest desires and creations with confidence?
We also have Jupiter in Taurus trine to the Full Moon, this is lending a beautifully sturdy support to the Moon as it faces the Sun and Pluto opposite it. Grounding it, acting almost as a tether to the Earth so that the Leo energy of the Moon can explore, expand and shine as bright as possible, but always having a safe place to return to.
The Moon reflecting back to the Sun where it needs to be more heart centered, open to life and where it can share and be seen in this shift towards wholeness so that it may expand and support those around it in the same path. The Sun is lighting up areas where the Moon can think bigger, where it can create a connection to the Collective, and to its community. Leo can be slightly Self focused, its polar opposite Aquarius is great at zooming out to see the broader picture of the whole.
The middle ground they strike is what I am aiming for personally, to find balance between the needs, dreams, desires, and goals of myself with the needs, dreams, desires and goals of the Collective and my close relationships, and where they intersect to create change and growth for all for the greater good. Not a loss of self in the giving to others, and not the selfishness that creates a break in connection to others. Somewhere nice and comfy right in the middle.
With the North Node in Aries, and Chiron right on the heels, I get the vibe with this Full Moon that we need to take aligned action. I think the Capricorn party is helping, creating a desire for stability, morality and structure, but what if we were to just focus on our SELVES?
Like, What if this Full Moon, you asked yourself how can I become the author, copywriter and editor of my own life story? How do I want to FEEL as I dance with life?
When the Moon is in Leo, we are invited to be courageous and let our love roar over the buzz of society, shoulds, have to's, or things we say yes to that are out of our alignment. To choose yourself first. To move through life with the lens of love first, everything else later. Let creativity lead the way. PLAY. Explore all of your nooks and crannies and let the light shine in on whats needed most.
Pluto is also here to help us all decide, and move closer to what truly matters for us each as individuals. To step into our own fires of transformation, willingly and with a plan! Consumerism, everyone needing to be the same, or like the same things, or think the same to be close with each-other, trends, fast fashion and meaningless, mass creation are all things that are in for a shift change with Pluto in Aquarius till 2044.
