Moon Letters - 5.28.22

Join us for an evening,

around each New Moon, 

of clay 

of intention

of connection 

in crafting your own Moon Letter Mirror. 

The moon has always been referred to as the “mirror” and represents the more emotional, feeling side of our souls. In astrology the moon is the mother, the home, the mirror and a sort of teacher, she shows you where the emotional wounds may be stored and also shows us where to grow within ourselves. The moon rules our ocean tides, some of our menstrual cycles and is the only planet in the solar system that, to us, appears to have cycles of its own, moving from New to Full and back around. 

In this class we will craft a circular frame for which we will proceed to write our letter.

this is for April 29th 6:30-8pm 

This letter can be to whom ever you would like, but here are some examples  : 

• yourself
• a wound you carry 
• your inner child
• a family member
• your future self
• a trauma you have experienced
• your soul 
• a past self 

Once we have our letters drafted and ready to go, we will then layout how we want it on the clay and proceed to stamp or use alphabet pasta to impress the words into the clay. You will then be able to paint and decorate your wall hanging with underglazes and texture tools, once they are complete they will be left to dry with Lauren. Once they are dry, they are headed into the bisque fire, then sanded and glazed and sent into the glaze fire. Once it’s outta the fire, Lauren will do the final sanding and finishing, and then will install the mirror tile, placed wherever you desire on the wall hanging. Once complete you will have a mirror, with your words/affirmations/desires and truth surrounding it for you to place or hang at home.

• sanding, finishing, glazing by Lauren 

We will also supply non alcoholic beverages, adult beverages, and light snacks (think charcuterie board style)
