05.15 MAIK Movement Hike : The M on a Full Moon

Sunday May 15th, 7:30-9pm for a Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse MAIK Hike 

Join me in an easily accessible hike up The M trail, about 2.5 miles round trip with about 820 feet of elevation gain. We will gather in the shaded tree area in the parking lot for a collective breath, and then begin the hike! 

While we hike you have a ball of clay to be squishing, forming, shaping, moving, pulling, smashing and molding. Once we get to the top we will spend some time shaping the clay, adding twigs or leaves found on the way up, and then a few moments finding a secure spot to place and leave our clay totems. You are welcome to wait and place them on the way down, or even take them to a special place for you in particular, it is your energy so please do as you wish. My goal is to create a physical item you can come back to and visit to regain that sense you had when making it. They clay will eventually break down and sift back into the Earth, where it started, this is a beautiful cycle and practice to notice. 

Please give yourself at least 90 mins to be with us, this is a quick hike but I would love for you to slow down and take some time for yourself.
